Not so long ago, legislative initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate in our country, primarily in the field of real estate, were launched in Russia. If earlier a foreign citizen could not obtain a residence permit when buying an apartment, in January next year such an opportunity will appear. New Russian:
January 14, 2023, a new law comes into force, which, among other things, gives foreigners the right to obtain a residence permit when buying real estate. It doesn't matter if we are talking about commercial real estate or residential. In addition, you will no longer have to receive quotas for temporary residence, because you will be able to immediately send an application for a residence permit.
Currently the details of how this law will be applied are being determined by the Government which will soon publish an Order listing all the requirements that has to be met in order to be eligible for residence after buying real estate.
Though currently draft Government Order is available which states the following requirements for the "investment" that has to be made:
• purchase of real estate worth in total amount 50,000,000 rubles in Moscow; • purchase only on the basis of purchase agreement (mortgage will not suffice); • in a new building that has already been commissioned; • ownership of real estate for 1 year before the date of application for a residence permit and 2 years after obtaining a residence permit; • absence of encumbrances and restrictive rights of the real estate object at the time of filing the application.
If all the conditions are met, you will be able to request certificates in the "EGRN" (Unified register of properties) and only then submit the documents to the migration department. Thanks to the real estate you bought, your relatives will also be able to apply for a residence permit:
• spouse; • children; • parents; • parents of the spouse; • grandparents; • grandchildren.

A pool of apartments without finishing was allocated in the residential complex so that neighboring lots could be combined into one residence. But most of the options are sold in the "whitebox", where all surfaces have already been leveled, interior doors, sockets, switches have been installed and communications have been built.
